A Quiet and Gentle Spirit Bible Reading Challenge

Here at Joy Pursued, we are slowing making our way through the Beatitudes. Starting next week, we will dive into what it means to be meek.

“Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5 NKJV).

I am excited about this topic, because meek is my word of the year. Therefore, I wanted to do something a little different for this Beatitude.

Partnering with Arabah Joy, I created, A Quiet and Gentle Spirit Bible Reading Challenge. Both the Arabah Joy community, and the Joy Pursued community, will be reading and/or writing 1-2 verses a day that help us create a quiet heart, which is an important part of meekness.

You can download the reading plan over at the Arabah Joy Blog.

I hope you will join us!

  1. I love this idea of studying the beatitudes. I initially read about it via your comment on “By His Grace Bloggers”, and then hopped over. I’m excited to reading more!

    • Thanks Paula! After doing these first three beatitudes pretty much by myself (I’ve written all but one post so far), I am excited to get some other voices to weigh in on these important character traits. I look forward to interacting with you more in the group!
